KGF Box Office Collection: Yash’s film gives tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan's Zero on Day 1

KGF, which released in five languages namely Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The movie has opened to positive reviews and has witnessed good numbers on Day 1.

On 21 December 2018, Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Kannada period film Kolar Gold Fields chapter 1 (KGF) released in the theatres. KGF, which released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The movie has opened to positive reviews and collected Rs 18.1 crore on its opening day. KGF is giving tough competition to SRK’s Zero which earned Rs 20.14 crore on its Day 1. 

This is the first chapter of the film and has also been released in the English language in the USA and Canada. It is the story of a man operating in the Mumbai underworld before he gets an assignment to come to Kolar Gold Fields. The first chapter has been appreciated and fans are eager to see the second part now. Well, ahead of the box office clash, SRK was all praises for Yash. 

At a press conference of KGF in Bengaluru, Yash revealed that Shah Rukh Khan congratulated him after the trailer released and also promised to come and see him when he visits there. He disclosed that how the King Khan of Bollywood was impressed by his film's trailer.

Starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Ananth Nag, John Kokken, Achyuth Rao in the lead roles, KGF is a Homabale Films production directed by Prashanth Neel.
