Karwaan Weekend Box Office Collection: Irrfan Khan starrer beats Fanney Khan and Mulk

Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar's Karwaan released on Friday. Despite having a dull opening on Friday, the film has managed to make a good weekend box office collection.

Karwaan starring Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar released last Friday. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film marks South superstar Dulquer Salmaan's debut in Bollywood. The film clashed with other big films -  Fanney Khan and Mulk. Fanney Khan stars Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles, whereas Mulk stars Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. Coming to Karwaan, on its first day, the film made a collection of Rs 1.4 crore in the domestic market. 

On the second day, i.e. Saturday, the film made a collection of Rs 2.75 at the box office. On the first day, Karwaan was lagging behind Mulk and Fanney Khan. However, it has surpassed both the films on the weekend and made a collection of Rs 7.75 crore at the box office, reports Box Office India. This Irrfan, Dulquer and Mithila's travelogue is inching closer to Rs 10 crore. The film is expected to keep a good hold on its collection at the domestic market on Monday.
