Kabir Singh Box Office Day 6: Shahid Kapoor & Kiara Advani starrer all set to become the biggest hit of 2019
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s film Kabir Singh is on the course to become the biggest hit of the year till now and is expected to beat Uri - The Surgical Strike and Bharat by second week
The talented Shahid Kapoor and the gorgeous Kiara Advani are currently riding high on the success of their recent release, Kabir Singh. The film, written and directed by Sandeep Vanga, has been receiving a mixed feedback from netizens and social media has been flooding with reviews ever since it released. Kabir Singh saw a wonderful opening and managed to collect approximately 20 crores nett on the first day. Although everything depends on the second Friday, the film is expected to do wonders.
The report in Box Office India states, “Kabir Singh has remained rock steady on Wednesday and seems on course to be the biggest HIT film of the year till date. The film collected around 15.75 crore nett on Wednesday to take its six day numbers to 120 crore nett. The film is a blockbuster and will beat the share of Uri - The Surgical Strike within two weeks.” It also states that the film will cross the footfalls of Uri - The Surgical Strike and Bharat, probably before the end of its second week.
Kabir Singh is the remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, which stars Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. The film is based on medical students Preeti and Kabir’s love story. It takes a turn when alcoholic surgeon Kabir goes on a self-destructive path because Preeti gets married to another man. While there are many who applauded Shahid Kapoor’s acting skills, there were some who found the film misogynistic.
