Kabir Singh Box Office Collections Day 1 Predictions: Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani starrer tracking BIG opening
Kabir Singh is set to release this weekend. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the Hindi remake of Telugu movie, Arjun Reddy.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani come together to set the big screen on fire with Kabir Singh. The official Hindi remake of the Telugu movie titled Arjun Reddy. The film revolves around a short-tempered Kabir, played by Shahid, whose heart is broken by Preeti, played by Kiara. The Hindi remake is directed by Arjun Reddy filmmaker Sandeep Vanga Reddy. The original movie did a great business in the South and going by the buzz of the Hindi-remake, Kabir Singh is tracking a good opening.
As per trade analyst Girish Johar, Kabir Singh could open to Rs 10 crores on its opening day collection. "Kabir Singh's trailer has been received very well by the audiences. The film is tracking is good. Music is topping the charts. Shahid is generated a lot of curiosity among fans. It is going to start off on a good note at the box office. Advance booking is also good," he said.
"I peg the movie around Rs 10 crores (on the first day). The two things I fear is the length of the film, which is approximate 2 hours 55 mins, and the film is being credited with an adult certificate. It limits the audience. But, it boils down to the content of the movie," he further explained. "If it is received well, it could go beyond that as well," he added.
Kabir Singh is expected to release in more than 2,000 plus screens. The movie faces competition from international film, Toy Story 4, which has received great reviews. On the national level, the movie is releasing with Diljit Dosanjh's Shadaa.
