Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 3: Shahid Kapoor & Kiara Advani starrer witnesses biggest Sunday of 2019

Rising steadily and breaking box office records one day at a time, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh witnessed a huge first weekend at the domestic box office. After a record-breaking opening of Rs 20.21 crore, the drama flick went on to rake in big money on Saturday and Sunday. The film, which is a remake of the hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda, has already crossed the Telugu film's lifetime collection of Rs 49 crore in just a matter of three days.
According to a report in Box Office India, Kabir Singh's Saturday collection actually ended up being higher than the previous estimate. The film actually earned a staggering Rs 23 crore on Saturday. Coming to its Sunday collection, Kabir Singh managed to rake in Rs 27.75 crore nett making it the biggest Sunday of 2019 after Salman Khan's Bharat and Total Dhamaal.
The total collection of Kabir Singh now stands at an enviable Rs 70.75 crore. The film has beaten all records of previous Shahid Kapoor starrer films by huge margins and is already his highest solo grosser. The top four performing circuits for Kabir Singh have been Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Andhra Pradesh which came as a surprise considering that the original Telugu flick was a huge hit in the region.
In the film, Shahid essays the role of an alcoholic surgeon and the actor has received praise from all quarters for his performance. Whereas Kiara Advani's performance also has been praised by critics and movie buffs alike.
