Judwaa 2 Box Office Report: Varun Dhawan's film crosses 200-crore mark worldwide
Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2 is a blockbuster at the box-office.
Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer Judwaa 2 has won hearts all over the world and crossed 100-crore mark at the box-office long back. Now, the movie has made a worldwide collection of 203.33 crore at the box office.
Judwaa 2 is the third film to cross 200 crore mark at the box office worldwide this year after Raees and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. At the domestic market, the comedy film minted 130.21 crore at the ticket windows.
Judwaa 2 sees Varun bringing back to celluloid the iconic characters Raja and Prem, previously portrayed by Salman Khan in Judwaa, which was also directed by David Dhawan. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios.
"I genuinely hope I can make people laugh and smile and just enjoy. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves and not be scared of judgment. So I did this film to do that this is an Indian genre, not something influenced by the West," Varun shared a day before the release of the film.
Though the movie received mixed reviews from the critics, the audiences have enjoyed the movie and were nostalgic while watching Judwaa 2.
After beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and gaining the third spot in the list of the highest openers of 2017, Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 is now in the list of the top 10 highest opening weekend grosses of 2017.
