Judwaa 2 Box Office Collection: Varun Dhawan's film does OUTSTANDING business on Gandhi Jayanti
Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 is unstoppable at the box office.
Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez's Judwaa 2 has finally hit the screens and is doing well at the box office. The David Dhawan directorial crossed INR 50 crore mark in three days and now, it is set to achieve the target of INR 100 crore by Wednesday. The film earned INR 18 crore on Monday and the movie benefited as it was a Gandhi Jayanti holiday.
The total four-day box office collection touched INR 77.25 crore on Monday. Judwaa 2 sees Varun bringing back to celluloid the iconic characters Raja and Prem, previously portrayed by Salman Khan in Judwaa, which was also directed by David Dhawan
"I genuinely hope I can make people laugh and smile and just enjoy. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves and not be scared of judgment. So I did this film to do that this is an Indian genre, not something influenced by the West," Varun shared a day before the release of the film.
After Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Judwaa 2 is Varun's second biggest hit of 2017. Though the movie received mixed reviews from the critics, the audiences have enjoyed the movie and were nostalgic while watching Judwaa 2.
After beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and gaining the third spot in the list of the highest openers of 2017, Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 is now in the list of the top 10 highest opening weekend grossers of 2017.
