This weekend, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra will try to work their magic at the box office with Jabariya Jodi. Sidharth was last seen in Aiyaary whereas Parineeti was seen in Kesari opposite Akshay Kumar. Sid and Pari were last seen in Hasee Toh Phasee. They have now reunited for the small-town romantic comedy. Jabariya Jodi's trailer released a few weeks ago, reinvesting the duo's adorable chemistry from the 2014 release. Songs like Khadke Glassy and Zilla Hilela has music lovers grooving. However, it is to see if Sidharth and Parineeti will work their magic at the box office this weekend.

While we have to wait until Sunday to find out Jabariya Jodi's opening weekend box office numbers, trade analyst Girish Johar says that the movie will start off on a decent note. Speaking with Pinkvilla, he said, "Together, Sidharth and Parineeti came last in Hasee Toh Phasee and it was a decent pair at the box office. This time, it is a little commercial pair. Comedy, light-hearted masala kind of an entertainer. The awareness levels are decent for the film. It is looking colourful and a family entertainer. It should have a decent start at the box office."

Jabariya Jodi pushed back their release date by one week. Asked if this move would impact the movie, Girish said that it was a decent decision. "The Lion King was very strong, Super 30 was also strong, Kabir Singh and Article 15 were also hanging in there. Now, I believe, they have almost finished their last leg. Comparatively, it seems like an open and a clear window for the film. It has more space to justify itself," he said.

Given this, Jabariya Jodi would open with a box office collection of Rs 3 to 4 crores. The screen count is expected to be somewhere between 1500 to 2000 screens.
