Jab Harry Met Sejal Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's film witnesses a huge drop on Monday
Here's how Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal fared at the box office on Monday.
Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal has already hit the theatres across the nation and has not fared as expected from such a lead cast. According to a trade site, the movie has managed to collect only in the metros and has scored poor collections in the other areas. JHMS' major chunk of the collection has come from Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Pune.
On Monday, the collection has dropped down and it's around INR 6-7 crore nett. In total, Jab Harry Met Sejal stands at around INR 50-51 crore. Despite beating the lifetime collections of many movies that have released in the past few months, the collections of this Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan starrer are low.
Overseas, Jab Harry Met Sejal has performed well by recording the best opening of 2017, racing ahead of Khan's previous release Raees. This is mainly because Raees didn't release in Pakistan. JHMS recorded the second best opening in Pakistan after Salman Khan's Sultan that released on Eid.
Though the film has scored well in the overseas, given that it is a Shah Rukh Khan movie, it could have scored better. Jab Harry Met Sejal is the tenth highest overseas opening of all time and the highest ever on a non-holiday release. While JHMS made $500,000 in the United Kingdom, it minted $1,300,000 in the USA. In Gulf it made $2,300,000, Australia $350,000 and Pakistan $650,000.
