India’s Most Wanted Box Office Collection Week 3: Arjun Kapoor starrer failed to impress & hit rock bottom
Arjun Kapoor’s film India’s Most Wanted has completed 3 weeks on the box office. The film, which had a dull opening, has hit rock bottom
Arjun Kapoor began his promising journey in Bollywood opposite Parineeti Chopra in Ishaqzaade. The actor had his share of ups and downs in the roller coaster of a journey and worked in films like Half Girlfriend, Ki & Ka, 2 States and Mubarakan. After his 2018 box office dud Namaste England with Parineeti, India’s Most Wanted was announced and fans were eagerly waiting to see the actor in a serious role. However, the film failed to impress and has hit rock bottom in the third week.
The action thriller revolves a group of officers tracking a terrorist in a secret mission and arresting him without firing bullets. The story of India’s Most Wanted is inspired by the arrest of terrorist Yasin Bhatkal, also referred to as India's Osama Bin Laden, near the India-Nepal border in the year 2013. Along with Arjun Kapoor, the Raj Kumar Gupta directorial also stars Sudev Nair, Rajesh Sharma and Shantilal Mukherjee. The film had a dull opening day and was far behind Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi and Will Smith’s Aladdin, which released on the same day.
The box office report states: “India’s Most Wanted is a disaster with collections of 10.50 crore nett in three weeks and that is where it will finish as it will hardly add another lakh or two. The film faced total rejection from the first day and was easily outpaced by a flop film like PM Narendra Modi.”
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor is gearing up for his upcoming films Panipat, alongside Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar with Parineeti Chopra.
