Dhadak Box Office Collection: Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's film has a smashing second weekend

Dhadak, the Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat by Nagraj Manjule, has maintained a steady stance at the box-office. The film starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter released in theatres on 20 July. Within a week, the film crossed the Rs 50 crore mark.

The film  is continuing to win hearts across the country. In 10 days at the domestic box office, Dhadak has earned Rs 63.39 crore.

Here is the day-wise break-up of the collection of Dhadak at the box office in India:

Day 1: July 20 - Rs 8.71 crore

Day 2: July 21 - Rs 11.04 crore

Day 3: July 22 - Rs 13.92 crore

Day 4: July 23 - Rs 5.52 crore

Day 5: July 24 - Rs 4.76 crore

Day 6: July 25 - Rs 4.06 crore

Day 7: July 26 - Rs 3.55 crore

Day 8: July 27 - Rs 2.61 crore

Day 9: July 28 - Rs 4.02 crore

Day 10: July 29 - Rs 5.2 crore

Total collection: 10 days - Rs 63.39 crore

The film  started on a good note with Rs 8.50 crore, and overtook the first-day collection of Student Of The Year to become the highest opening Bollywood film featuring newcomers. 

Janhvi, daughter of late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, plays a girl belonging to an influential, upper-caste family based in Udaipur. Her co-star Ishaan Khatter, who made his debut with Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds, plays her star-crossed lover who belongs to a lower caste.
