De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 12: Ajay Devgn will NOT enter Rs 100 crore club; Here's Why
De De Pyaar De's box office collection has witnessed a 50 per cent drop on Tuesday aka Day 12 as compared to its first Tuesday. The movie was expected to perform better.
De De Pyaar De is into its second week at the box office and it doesn't paint a happy box office report card. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet in the lead. It released on May 17 and opened on an impressive note. However, De De Pyaar De is not getting a lot of pyaar from the audiences. The Day 12 box office collection has witnessed a dip. Although it started on a great note, trade analysts believe that the Akiv Ali directorial might not be earn over Rs 100-crore.
According to Box Office India, De De Pyaar De collected Rs 2.25 crore on Day 12 aka the second Tuesday. This brings De De Pyaar De's total box office collection to Rs 74.94 crore. In comparison to the first Tuesday collections, the movie witnessed a huge drop. On Day 5, De De Pyaar De had earned a box office collection of Rs 5.50 crore. The trade publication notes De De Pyaar De could end its second week run with a collection of Rs 18 crore nett. The movie was expected to do better. Ajay's previous box office outings Total Dhamaal and Raid performed better than De De Pyaar De in the second week.
These numbers project that the movie could end its run before touch the century mark. It is reported that the movie hasn't been appreciated by audiences in second-tier cities like Ahmedabad, Agra and Ajmer. Thus, limiting De De Pyaar De to a collection below Rs 100 crore. Nevertheless, De De Pyaar De is still a hit.
Despite the dip in collections, De De Pyaar De has performed better than recent Bollywood releases PM Narendra Modi and India's Most Wanted. The Vivek Oberoi starrer biopic earned Rs 1.70 crore on Tuesday whereas Arjun Kapoor's spy-thriller posed an earning of Rs 75 lakhs.
