Box Office Report: Veere Di Wedding passes the Monday test; continues to mint money at the domestic market

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania's Veere Di Wedding has received an overwhelming response at the ticket windows. It's continuing to mint money at the box office. Veere Di Wedding has collected Rs 6.04 crore on Monday and in total, it has earned Rs 42.56 crore.
Veere Di Wedding revolves around four friends - Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Sakshi (Swara Bhasker) and Meera (Shikha Talsania), who are trying to figure out their lives.
It's the third highest when we talk about opening day figures of films in 2018. Here's the list:
1. Baaghi 2: Rs 25.10 crore
2. Padmaavat: Rs 19 crore
3. Veere Di Wedding: Rs 10.70 crore
4. PadMan: Rs 10.26 crore
5. Raid: Rs 10.04 crore
Veere Di Wedding also stars Sumeet Vyas in a pivotal role and has opened to a mixed review. While a section cannot stop applauding the brave attempt by producers Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, another section is horrified of seeing women discuss sex as normally as men.
