Box Office Report: Sidharth Malhotra-Jacqueline Fernandez's A Gentleman shows limited growth on Day 2
Here's the box-office collection of A Gentleman on its first Saturday.
Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer A Gentleman released on a festive day that is, Ganesh Chaturthi. The action-comedy opened on a poor note with the movie grossing around INR 3.75 crore nett. The movie saw a poor opening in states like Haryana and Punjab which spread to Delhi following the political tension prevailing there, post the Ram Rahim verdict.
Now, the box-office collections for the second day is out and there is no positive growth for the film. According to a leading website, the film has earned about INR 4 crore on its first Saturday making it to the total of INR 7.75 crore.
According to a trade analyst, the film earned INR 4.04 crore on Friday and INR 4.36 crore on Saturday, which sums up to INR 8.40 crore business in India.
Talking about the movie, Sid in an interview to us said, "It's got action. It's got romance. Comedy. What else do you want? There is no stress in the film. It's got pole dancing. It's Jacky doing action with guns. It's a stress-free entertaining film. It has got good music as well. It's got us. You should come on 25th of August and enjoy the film."
Jacqueline said, "It's got two Sid's for the price of one. It's got pole dancing. There is no stress in the movie. I would say it has got very real action because Sid does all his stunts on his own. It's got very real humour because it is Raj and DK. It's fun, cool and real humour. It's got good chemistry."
Sidharth essays the role of Gaurav and Rishi while Jacqueline plays the role of Kavya in the film directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
