Box-Office Report: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Tiger Zinda Hai inches close to 175 crore mark
Tiger Zinda Hai had a fantastic first Tuesday at the box-office.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai is proving to be one of the biggest hits of 2017. It crossed the 150-crore mark within the first four days of its release and might enter the 200 crore club soon.
The collection of the fifth day that is Tuesday (December 26, 2017) is out. According to a leading trade website, TZH has minted INR 21.50 crore nett mark. The movie saw a drop of 41% from the previous day which was Christmas, a national holiday but sustained its growth too.
Tiger Zinda Hai has earned about INR 172.75 crore at the domestic market. Here are the follows:
Friday - INR 34 crore
Saturday - INR 35.25 crore
Sunday - INR 45.50 crore
Monday - INR 36.50 crore
Tuesday - INR 21.50 crore
Grand Total - INR 172.75 crore approx
Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger which also starred Salman and Katrina. While the sequel is focused on the duo’s capacity as agents, ETT was about two agents from India and Pakistan respectively falling in love.
At an event, Salman praised his co-star Katrina and said, "This is her best work." Talking about director Ali Abbas Zaffar, he said, "He has done an incredible job. The film would be a surprise for Indian viewers. I think this is the first time that Hindi cinema audiences will see a film like this."
"No matter how I [might] try to describe and explain [the film], you won’t get it until the time you watch it yourself," he added.
