Box Office Report: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding hits a half century

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania starrer Veere Di Wedding is having a successful run at the box office. The film went on to become the third biggest opener of 2018 after Baaghi 2 and Padmaavat.

Today, the film has crossed 50 crore mark at the box office on the sixth day of its release. The total collection of Veere Di Wedding is Rs 52.90 crore.

Veere Di Wedding revolves around four friends - Kalindi (Kareena), Avni (Sonam), Sakshi (Swara) and Meera (Shikha), who are trying to figure out their lives. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, produced by Balaji Telefilms, Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network and Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd. It was released on June 1, 2018.

Veere Di Wedding also stars Sumeet Vyas in a pivotal role and has opened to a mixed review. While a section cannot stop applauding the brave attempt by producers Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, another section is horrified of seeing women discuss sex as normally as men.
