Box Office Report: DDD crosses 50 crore mark despite competition from TWMR
Zoya Akhtar and her ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ team surely have a reason to rejoice, what with the film crossing the 50 crore mark at domestic box office. The film, which was off to a good start in its opening weekend, though has dipped marginally on the weekdays, but has managed to hold well.
On Wednesday, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ grossed 4.48 crore, making it a grand total of 52.39 crore at the Indian box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections’ update on twitter. He posted, "#DilDhadakneDo crosses 50 cr mark! Fri 10.53 cr, Sat 12.27 cr, Sun 14.25 cr, Mon 5.77 cr, Tue 5.09 cr, Wed 4.48 cr. Total: 52.39 cr.”
Though ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is still going strong in its third week, it will be interesting to see how DDD performs in its second week, given that trade reports suggest a weak opening for ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ that releases tomorrow.
