Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Again has finally hit the screens and has been receiving positive reviews from both the critics and the fans. The film that stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tabu and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles, is a laughter riot.

According to a report in a trade site, the film has earned INR 116.60 crore at the box office in just four days of its release. The story revolves around the gang of five — Gopal (Ajay), Madhav (Arshad), Lucky (Tusshar), Laxman (Shreyas) and Laxman (Kunal) - orphans who have been raised in Seth Jamnadas' orphanage in Ooty. When they return to their orphanage to mourn the death of their mentor, they hear that an avaricious builder, Vasu Reddy (Prakash Raj) and his associate, Nikhil (Neil) have designs on the ashram and the adjoining plot owned by Colonel Chouhan (Sachin Khedekar).

The jugadu (wheeler-dealer) gang decides to stall the builders. However, they realise that in their absence, some friendly ghosts too have started to reside in the area. Anna Mathew (Tabu), who can talk to spirits, acts as the guide to the gang.

In an interview, when Ajay was asked whether box office expectations add pressure on him as an actor, he replied, "Earlier nobody was printing it and hence it [pressure] was not there. Today you guys are printing it, and hence people have started taking numbers seriously. To me, box office numbers do matter because if you invest a certain amount, you need to recover. But that’s not the only concern for me, as even appreciation matters a lot."

When Ajay was asked by a leading daily on why he chose to do Golmaal Again, the actor replied, "It’s a brand which people love. You can only make a franchise work when the characters in the film work big-time. The audiences love the Golmaal characters — they know that Johnny Lever will forget, Tusshar [Kapoor] will not speak, I will break fingers — everyone, especially the kids love it. But when you re-work a script, everything changes and it excites you again."
