Manoj is the mentor while Sidharth plays his protégé in the film. Aiyaary is based on a real-life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways.

Talking about Aiyaary, Neeraj Pandey revealed his inspiration behind the film in an interview with a leading daily. He said, "Again reality of what’s going around and awareness of the fact that someone needs to talk about these things – that being the underlying reason. Also, it was a fantastic story. Once you see the film, you’ll agree that something like this has never been spoken about in this format. So, that was the temptation to address a story like this."

Meanwhile, Black Panther showed about 20% growth on Saturday, it made about Rs 6.25 crore on the second day. The movie made Rs 5.25 crore on the opening day and the total is approx Rs 11.50 crore of a two-day business.
