Box Office Occupancy Report: Hate Story 4 opens on a decent note

The fourth installment of the erotic thriller franchise Hate Story has finally hit the theatres today. The movie is directed by Vishal Pandya and features Karan Wahi, Ihana Dhillon, Urvashi Rautela, Vivan Bhatena and Gulshan Grover as lead characters. The film has opened on a decent note and it will be interesting to see how much the film earns on Day 1.
Trade analyst Girish Johar told a leading daily, "Hate Story 4 has built an appeal for itself among the masses and it is expected to do well in two-tier cities, majorly on single screens. Its songs have caught on with the fans and the buzz around the film is also pretty decent. Hence, it is expected to do comparatively well at the box office. Hate Story 4 is expected to earn a total of Rs 10 crore by the end of its first weekend, the total can even go up to Rs 12 crore if it performs well."
Director Vishal Pandya, in an interview with a leading daily, said, "Hate is just an emotion in the content that I show. Everyone these days is talking about women empowerment but I am the only director right now who does not talk about women empowerment but shows it. All my films are female centric and people love to see that, especially girls. This time my story is inspired by two events about certain things that are happening almost every day, in every city of India."
"The only challenge for me was myself. People recognise you from your previous work so you have to bear the pressure of outdoing yourself. So that was the only challenge. Comparison is something you cannot escape from irrespective of the fact that the previous part was directed by the same director or a different director, comparison is bound to happen," added the director.
