Box Office Occupancy Report: Baadshaho gets a BETTER opening than Shubh Mangal Saavdhan
Going by the morning box office occupancy report, Baadshaho has got a better opening than Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
1st September 2017 - We have Ajay Devgn and Emraan's Hashmi's film Baadshaho and Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar's Shubh Mangal Saavdhan clashing at the box office and both are of different genres. One is a hardcore and raw action film and one falls into the category of light-hearted rom-com film.
Going by the morning box office occupaancy report, Baadshaho has got a better opening than Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Baadshaho had a decent start of around 25-30% and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan got around 10-15%.
Baadshaho, which is set on the backdrop of the Emergency period, also stars Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjay Mishra as the leads and is directed by Milan Luthria. This action drama is made in a budget of INR 80 crore (COP+PnA). The producers have recovered INR 85 crore already from satellite digital music and overseas (INR 44 crore) and India distribution (INR 41 crore) leading to a 5 crore profit on its opening day. It will be interesting the opening day figures.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has also been receiving positive reviews from the citics. The movie grabbed attention because of its subject - erectile dysfunction. The lead pair had already won our hearts with their sweet and innocent chemistry in Dum Laga Ke Haisha and people wanted to see what Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar have to offer to in their second outing.
