Two of the most awaited films of this year released today. India's Most Wanted starring Arjun Kapoor is a story of unsung heroes. It revolves around the secret mission of a team to track and arrest a deadly terrorist referred to as India’s Osama Bin Laden, without firing any bullets. The other film that released today is the biopic of honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Vivek Oberoi playing the titular role.

While the public had been waiting for a long while to watch the films, according to Box Office India, the films opened to dull collections. The report states, “It remains to be seen what happens over the day and which film comes out on top but at the moment it looks like PM Narendra Modi will have better collections though reports are better for Indias Most Wanted but it could that comes into play tomorrow. Whatever the collections and which ever film is better the fact will be collections will be very low and both will need huge growth.”

Another film that released today is Aladdin, the remake of the classic Disney animated film. The story, revolving around Aladdin and Princess Jasmine’s love affair, has passed the opening day test with flying colours. Along with the new release, week old film De De Pyaar De starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet had good collections and started the day off on a healthy note.
