Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Again has finally hit the screens and has been receiving positive reviews from both the critics and the fans. The film that stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tabu in pivotal roles, is a laughter riot.

According to a report in a trade site, the film has earned INR 33 crore on its opening day and has beates Salman Khan's Tubelight which collected INR 20.75 crore on the day 1. The story revolves around the gang of five — Gopal (Ajay), Madhav (Arshad), Lucky (Tusshar), Laxman (Shreyas) and Laxman (Kunal) - orphans who have been raised in Seth Jamnadas' orphanage in Ooty. When they return to their orphanage to mourn the death of their mentor, they hear that an avaricious builder, Vasu Reddy (Prakash Raj) and his associate, Nikhil (Neil) have designs on the ashram and the adjoining plot owned by Colonel Chouhan (Sachin Khedekar).

The jugadu (wheeler-dealer) gang decides to stall the builders. However, they realise that in their absence, some friendly ghosts too have started to reside in the area. Anna Mathew (Tabu), who can talk to spirits, acts as the guide to the gang.

In an interview, Ajay Devgn was asked whether box office expectations add pressure on him as an actor? To this, he had said, "Earlier nobody was printing it and hence it [pressure] was not there. Today you guys are printing it, and hence people have started taking numbers seriously. To me, box office numbers do matter because if you invest a certain amount, you need to recover. But that’s not the only concern for me, as even appreciation matters a lot."
