Bareilly Ki Barfi Box Office Report: Rajkummar Rao-Ayushmann Khurrana-Kriti Sanon's film does decent business on day 2
Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon's film Bareilly Ki Barfi shows growth on Day 2.
Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon's film Bareilly Ki Barfi has finally hit the screens this Friday. The film opened on a low note and in total has earned INR 6 crore in the two days of its release, according to a trade side. Going by the production number, the film collected INR 6.27 crore. The film showed growth on Day 2 as it started on a dull note.
The story of Bareilly Ki Barfi revolves around three persons -- Chirag, Pritam and Bitti played by Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon. Apparently, the title originated from a book named The Ingredients of Love: A Novel by French author Nicolas Barreau.
Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari said, "Well, in this kind of story, dialogues and quirky characters are important and yes it was well written. So, as a film director, it becomes my utmost important duty to make sure I am doing justice to their effort."
The movie is written by Ashwini's husband Nitesh Tiwari. Talking about this she had said, "Expectations build up in a good way. There's no denying that people look at him more than me. I'm glad because it helps my film. But I don't want people to misinterpret it as me living under his shadow. I have not directed this film because of his guidance. He never comes for my shoots because people are quick to assume that he is overpowering my work. We are aware of these issues but we never keep any ego between us. Yes, it does bother me sometimes."
She went to add, "But we can't control how people think. The best part was when we both won awards at the same award function, and it was gratifying to see him clapping with my mum. And I did the same when he won. We are both individual achievers. There is the mindset that if a woman is doing well, there has to be a man helping her with it. I have to live with this. I am proud of being Nitesh Tiwari's wife."
