Badhaai Ho box office collection: Ayushmann Khurrana's film crosses 50-crore mark at the domestic market

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho has emerged as a box office winner. The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles. The movie created a strong buzz with its trailer, and it fulfilled the promise. In five days, Badhaai Ho’s box office collection stand at Rs 51.35 crore at the domestic market. Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Badhaai Ho stays solid on the working day [Mon]... Crosses Rs 50 cr mark... Expected to cross Rs 65 cr in Week 1, an incredible feat... Thu 7.35 cr, Fri 11.85 cr, Sat 12.80 cr, Sun 13.70 cr, Mon 5.65 cr. Total: Rs 51.35 cr. India biz.”
With such good numbers, the film has made its place in the top 10 overseas openings in 2018. Badhaai Ho, a coming-of-age family comedy, revolves around a middle-class family in Delhi that is embarrassed by an accidental pregnancy in the house. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of Tevar fame, the film released on October 18. Badhaai Ho also recorded its highest single day collections of around Rs 13.5 crore on its first Sunday.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann revealed some funny anecdotes from the sets of Badhaai Ho. "We had no idea that he (Gajraj Rao) had been farting throughout during the shoots. Amit (Sharma, director) used to press his finger and it was magic. We got to know about it during the climax shoot after he went to Amit and pressed his finger when mummyji (Neena Gupta) was on bed for her delivery...it was a loud fart and everybody started laughing. It was funny.”
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s film Namaste England failed to show any growth even during the festive season.
