Avengers: Endgame Box Office Prediction Day 1: Marvel film all set to shatter all time record in India
Avengers: Endgame releases on April 26. The Marvel movie, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is all set to break several records across the world, including India.
Avengers: Endgame is all set to release this weekend. The Marvel movie's release is nothing short than a huge celebration waiting to happen. In India, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has become the first Hollywood movie which will have shows through the night. Yes, there are shows post midnights in several cities. Judging by the ticket booking platforms, almost all shows on April 26, Day 1 of Avengers: Endgame at the box office, are house full.
So, there is no doubt that Avengers: Endgame is going to shatter some records at the Indian box office. While we wait to see what are the records Avengers: Endgame breaks in India, trade analyst Girish Johar has told Pinkvilla that the Russo Brothers directorial is going to break the all-time opening day collections record in India, beating Thugs of Hindostan.
He said, "Avengers: Endgame is going to release in about 2600 screens across the country, for all languages. It will surely cross the Rs 50-crore mark, all languages included. It's going to be a mammoth at the box office." Given this Avengers: Endgame box office prediction, the Marvel movie stands a chance to beat the Aamir Khan starrer released on Diwali 2018. The movie opened to a massive Rs 52.25 crore, which stands as the biggest opening day box office collection of all-time in Bollywood.
Girish also adds that Avengers: Endgame will also be the highest non-holiday opener. No major Indian film released with it goes to show how huge the movie is.
With these predictions, there is no doubt that Avengers: Endgame will beat Avengers: Infinity War as well. Infinity War, released in 2018, had set new benchmarks for Hollywood movies in India. It recorded a gross opening box office collections of Rs 40.13 crore. The net box office collections on Day 1 is Rs 31.3 crore.
Girish also added that Kalank's poor performance will benefit Avengers: Endgame. "Kalank had a dismal performance. This will surely affect Avengers: Endgame in a positive way. When the reviews and audience are not finding a film particularly good and they actually avoid going to the film and want to watch the other big film. In this case, it is Avengers: Endgame," Girish added.
