MOM Box Office Collection: Sridevi's film adds a spark at the ticket windows on the 2nd day
Sridevi's MOM, on its second day, earned INR 4.75 crore and has shown a growth of around 65%. Apart from Sridevi, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles.
Even before the release, Sridevi starrer Mom had already been creating a lot of waves- thanks to the deceptive and mysterious aura around the characters. With MOM, Sridevi is back on the silver screen after five years. Apart from Sridevi, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna.
MOM also features Sushant Singh, Amrita Puri and Raj Zutshi in pivotal roles. Sridevi is playing a role of a mother and yes, this time not the one who can't speak like English Vinglish. She is on a mission to save her daughter from the shackles of a conspiracy. Nawaz is unrecognizable in his avatar and Akshaye too portrays his role with perfection.
Going by reviews, the film has been doing well. MOM, on its second day, earned INR 4.75 crore and has shown a growth of around 65%. Talking about her experience while shooting for MOM, Sridevi in an earlier interview said, "I was in a different frame of mind while shooting for MOM ....it was not a conscious decision where I decided to avoid talking to people for the sake of my role...but while filming, my head space and the character didn't permit me and allow me to just be normal."
She went on to add, "I was in a shell, I was not communicating with my family as much as I normally would. In fact, my daughter told me at the end of all the shoots and filming that 'mom thank God you are back to being normal again."
