Box Office Report: Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium pass the first Monday test
Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium maintain a steady pace at the box office.
Despite mixed reviews, Half Girlfriend is moving ahead at a steady pace at the box office. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film has Arjun Kapoor portraying the role of a national-level basketball player, Madhav Jha. The movie also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role who is seen playing Arjun's romantic interest.
According to production figures, the film earned INR 5.11 crore on its first Monday. Half Girlfriend, in total, has raked in INR 37.15 crore. Going by the report in Box Office India, the film has collected INR 4.75 crore on its first Monday and in total has minted INR 35.75 crore.
The report also suggests that 'the film has fared best in best in Central India and Bihar while East Punjab and Mysore have underperformed.'
On the other hand, Hindi Medium shows Irrfan and Saba Qamar as a young couple struggling to get the perfect education for their daughter. The film has been receiving positive reviews from both the audience and the critics. Going by the production figures, Hindi Medium has earned INR 3.15 crore and in total has collected INR 15.71 crore.
But, according to BOI, the film has raked in INR 2.75 crore and in total it amounts to INR 14.25 crore.
