Box Office Report: Varun and Alia's Badrinath Ki Dulhania continues raking in money at a steady pace
Going by the numbers, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's rom-com Badrinath Ki Dulhania has had a successful run at the ticket windows in its first week.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's rom-com Badrinath Ki Dulhania has completed its first week run at the box office and has impressed the audience. Fans have been appreciating the powerhouse performances of the lead actors - Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
According to production numbers, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has raked in INR 73.66 crore in seven days of its release. Box Office India stated that film has earned INR 72.25 crore till now. Going by the numbers, it can be said that the film has had a successful run at the ticket windows in its first week.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania has also become the third biggest opener of 2017 after Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2. A lot of critics have said that it was entirely Varun Dhawan's show. In an earlier interview, Varun had said that his character will come across as a surprise. He even went on to say that Badrinath is his most content-oriented role since Badlapur.
The two were out and out promoting their film way before its release. It might have been one of the reasons that the film has done well at the box office. The positive word-of-mouth has also helped the movie to rake in numbers at the ticket windows.
