Akshay Kumar's Rustom is flying high at the box office in Middle East. Here's the proof!

Akshay Kumar's Rustom has hit the screens today and is doing wonders overseas. The film earned approx INR Rs 18 lacs on its opening day in Middle East. It's also said to be the second highest opener for Akshay's film after Airlift.  

A trade analyst confirmed on Twitter and wrote, "#Rustom takes Middle East by storm. 2nd highest Akshay opener after #Airlift with approx. AED 1 million start on day 1 (Thursday). Cheerz."

Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan have also praised the film and called it a gripping tale. The film has taken inspiration from the real life incident of naval officer KM Nanavati. Rustom deals with a true story of love, passion, murder, morality and justice that shook the nation. 

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the film also stars Ileana D'Cruz in the lead role.
