From Blood Sweat & Tears to Black Swan: 5 BTS songs that are perfect candidates for a Grammy nomination

The D-day is finally here! The 63rd Grammy Awards will be airing today, as per the American standard time. We cannot even imagine how nervous, excited and anxious BTS members must be right now. ARMY too are mirroring BTS' sentiments as the septet's beloved fandom, started a brief campaign 'Tiny Love Letters To BTS' last night on Twitter, writing sweet messages of love, comfort and encouragement to the group, that no matter what happens, they always have their backs!

BTS' Grammy nomination is nothing short of historic, iconic and life-changing. The superstar septet will be the first Korean act to be nominated as well as perform at the prestigious Grammy awards this Sunday. BTS' is nominated in the Best pop/Duo category for their pop-disco track Dynamite. While, we thoroughly love and enjoy grooving to Dynamite, here are five BTS tracks that equally deserved a nomination from The Recording Academy.

1. Blood Sweat and Tears - Wings

The song that catapulted BTS to international stardom! Blood, Sweat and Tears is a masterpiece, to say the least. The title track from Wings is a hybrid of moombahton, trap and tropical house. It explores the story of youth who lose their innocence and fall into temptation. Masterful production, slick choreography and scintillating music, this is a modern masterpiece. Also, both Korean and Japanese music videos for the song are pure MAGIC!

2. Run -  The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2

One of the most gripping storylines in the Bangtan Universe, Run has a distinct and unique sound, that remains unmatched. It is like the edgier version of Life Goes On, with dreams and life-goals at stake, there is one simple takeaway, just keep running forward. A heady mix of K-pop, hip-hop and R&B, Run remains superior!

3. Black Swan: Map Of The Soul:7

This is one of the finest music videos I have ever seen! The song beautifully expresses the haunting fear of an artist and how they fear losing everything with time. The lyrics are reflective and gut-wrenching, settling deep into the listener's soul. Natalie Portman's Black Swan served as an inspiration for this song. I wonder, if BTS were to perform this song at the Grammys, it would leave the audience in absolute awe!

4. Outro: Tear - Love Yourself: Tear

Rap was, is and will always be the most lethal weapon amongst BTS' multiple talents. A fantastic track, headlined by the holy trinity of RM, Suga and J-Hope. The song is born of hurt, anger and frustration BTS members felt when they almost thought of disbandment. The song is rap-heavy with verbose lyrics. I have never been to a BTS concert, but the sheer intensity of Outro: Tear's performance, pierced through my screen! (The image is used for representation only).

5. Spring Day - You Never Walk Alone

Meryl Streep was quoted saying, "Take your broken heart and make it into art". Well, BTS did that long back already. Queen Spring Day, as ARMY fondly refers to this song, is sheer poetry in verse. It is heartbreaking and healing, loving and longing. There is a reason, why Spring Day resonated and continues to connect with millions across the world, because, we live in the eternal belief of hope.
