Beyond Evil star Yeo Jin Goo reflects on his acting skills before Hotel Del Luna and The Crowned Clown success
Yeo Jin Goo will soon be seen in Beyond Evil. Before the actor graces the small screen again, he reflected on his roles in Hotel Del Luna and The Crowned Clown.
Yeo Jin Goo has a slew of remarkable performances under his belt. However, his popularity reached new heights with Hotel Del Luna and The Crowned Clown. The two shows not only saw the actor's fame escalate but his acting was praised by several K-drama lovers across the globe. The actor recently opened up about his thoughts about his skills before the success of both the shows. Talking to GQ Korea, Yeo Jin Goo confessed he wasn't satisfied with his craft.
"Before, I was in a slump that wasn’t quite a slump. I listened and received praise while continuing to work, but I wasn’t satisfied with myself because I had no choice but to get help from the director and seniors," he said, via Koreaboo. However, when he worked on Hotel Del Luna and The Crowned Clown, the actor sat down to analyse his scenes, form opinions and prepared. "It was my first time acting like that, and I learned a lot. It made me excited to start work on the next project," Yeo Jin Goo added.
He recalled The Crowned Clown was challenging for he was demanded to play two roles at a time. "It gave me a chance to get a sense of how I act," he explained. As for Hotel Del Luna, the showing co-starring IU was gave him an opportunity to praise himself. "I realized that it was okay to act the way I wanted and still receive a lot of love and praise. It was so overwhelming then," he added.
