ATEEZ & SF9 starrer variety drama Imitation to replace NCT member Jaehyun's Dear M
Following Park Hye Su's school violence controversy, KBS has decided to air Imitation in the time slot instead.
Fans who were eagerly anticipating the first broadcast of Dear M will be heartbroken to know that the show has been postponed indefinitely. For the uninitiated, One of the cast members, Park Hye Su was accused of school violence and, although her agency has denied the allegations, the victims are continuing to fight their case against her. The multiple school violence allegations against various Korean celebrities have left a sour taste in netizens' mouth. Broadcast networks, are sensitive to audiences' grievances and have decided to do away with Dear M for the time being.
But we have good news! The vacancy will be filled with a new variety-drama instead. KBS has now announced that they have decided to air their new show Imitation in its place, which is a drama series based on the webtoon with the same name. Imitation boasts of a star-studded lineup of idol actors, like ATEEZ’s Yunho, Seonghwa, Jongho, and San, SF9’s Chani and Hwiyoung, U-KISS’s Lee Jun Young, T-ara’s Jiyeon, former I.O.I and PRISTIN member Lim Nayoung, Yuri, Ahn Jung Hoon, Minseo, Boys’ Republic’s Suwoong, g.o.d’s Danny Ahn, and Shim Eun Jin. Imitation is a variety drama, based on a webtoon of the same name about the lives of idols in the entertainment industry.
The drama was originally meant to go on air in May, but following Dear M's controversy, Imitation will greet viewers a couple of months early. Imitation will take over Dear M's weekend time slot.
