Andrew Leipus ends his 12 year partnership as a Physio with IPL Franchise Kolkata Knight Riders
Andrew Leipus has been associated with Kolkata Knight Riders from the past 12 years; ever since the beginning of the league.
Andrew Leipus has been the former Physiotherapist for the Indian cricket team and has been associated with the IPL Franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from the past 12 years. However, the 49 year old Physiotherapist finally bid adieu to the IPL team and took a decision to end his session with Kolkata Knight Riders. He went on to twitter to reveal the news to the fans and thanked the team for an amazing journey and wonderful memories created over the years. He tweeted as, “After 12 seasons I’m moving on from KKR. Thanks to all the many coaches, players, support staff, management & the owners for an amazing journey & memories created over the years.”
Venky Mysore who is the CEO of the KKR Franchise thanked Andrew on twitter for his wonderful contribution to the team over the years. He mentioned that Andrew has been extremely professional and Kamlesh Jain takes on to be the Physio for KKR have big shoes to fill. He tweeted as, “On behalf of all @KKRiders thanks Andrew for all your contributions. You have been a thorough professional & have played a big part in developing @KKamleshJain who takes over and will have big shoes to fill.”
Earlier this week, KKR who has managed to claim two IPL titles in the 12 seasons of the league parted ways with its Head Coach, Jacques Kallis and Deputy Coach, Simon Katich. As per the reports, the team is keen to look forward for a fresh new coaching staff for their upcoming seasons of the Indian Premier League.
