Afghanistan vs West Indies, ICC World Cup 2019: Key players from both the sides to watch out for

Afghanistan cricket team has lost all their matches so far in the tournament. They will look forward to register their first win in their last match of the on-going World Cup 2019 against the Windies. West Indies on the other hand have won only one match and ranks ninth in the points table, only ahead of Afghanistan. This clash between the bottom most teams will be like a dead end, but both the teams will look forward to end their World Cup journey on a positive note with a win. Let’s have a look at their key players.

1. Nicholas Pooran (West Indies) – This West Indies batsman single-handedly took charge when the team’s batting collapsed against Sri Lanka. He played an exceptional innings of 118 runs in only 103 deliveries with a strike rate of 114.56 which included 11 fours and 4 sixes. His exceptional century helped the team give a tough fight to the Sri Lankan cricket team. However, West Indies were unable to chase the huge target set up by the Lankans and lost the match by 23 runs.

2. Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan) – Even though Afghanistan has failed to register a win in the tournament, they have managed to give a tough fight to the top teams in the tournament. Against the Men in Green, the Afghanistan cricket team took the match to the last over of the game, which they eventually lost by 3 wickets. Mohammad Nabi bowled an exceptional spell and picked up two crucial wickets for the team in that game. In his 10-over spell, he claimed 2 wickets and gave away only 23 runs with an economy of 2.30.
