Actor Na In Woo makes first appearance as On Dal in River Where The Moon Rises; Ratings remain intact
Actor Na In Woo of Mr Queen fame replaces Ji Soo as general On Dal in River Where The Moon Rises.
Actor Na In Woo made his first appearance as General On Dal in River Where The Moon Rises on March 8. Actor Na In Woo replaced Ji Soo, who was accused of bullying and assault by his former classmates. In a lengthy statement, actor Ji Soo begged for forgiveness and left the show, to not cause the cast, production team and the network any further damage. He is also touted to join the military later this year. After much speculation and controversy, Na In Woo finally made an appearance in the drama.
The production team and KBS edited out Ji Soo's parts to accommodate Na In Woo as the new General On Dal. Na In Woo made his first appearance in episode 7, on March 8. Na In Woo's appearance was well-received by netizens, who reacted positively upon his entry as the new On Dal. According to Nielsen Korea, the March 8 episode of River Where the Moon Rises recorded average nationwide ratings of 6.7 and 8.7 percent. This is relatively similar to last episode‘s ratings of 6.6 and 9.2 percent and is a promising start for the drama as it witnessed a major change in casting.

River Where The Moon Rises is a sageuk (historical drama). Based on the novel Princess Pyeonggang by author Choi Saggyu, it narrates the passionate love story between Pyeong Gang, played by Kim So Hyun, who was born a princess and raised as a soldier and General On Dal, played by Na In Woo, and how they must overcome numerous challenges and face all kinds of adversities to protect their love.
