"I never had any issues with Karan Johar” says Akshay Kumar
Been in the industry for such a long time, but it wasn’t until 2015, that Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar joined forces. When the news of Khiladi Kumar starring in a Dharma film started doing rounds, all wondered what took them so long to work together.
In a report published in Mid-Day, when Akki was asked the same, he answered, “I never had any issues with Karan (Johar). In fact, he is a close friend of my wife (Twinkle Khanna). We didn't work because he probably thought I do only action films. We have not discussed this, but there was never a fight or a cold war between us.”
Earlier K’Jo, the producer of Brothers, told IANS, "Akshay was the one person who I was dying to work with since two decades.”
Remember Akki’s fun remark, "Karan doesn't take me in his films. He probably thinks I'm not good enough,” while promoting Khiladi 786? Looks like, tables have turned for sure!
Brothers is releasing on August 14th, thus marking the beginning of a powerful alliance between Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar.
