‘Salman Khan suggested I become a television actor’ – Sidharth Malhotra
Can you believe this? Long before ‘Student of the Year’ happened to Sidharth Malhotra, he was advised by Salman Khan to take up television!
In an interaction with Anupama Chopra, Sidharth revealed this incident. Sidharth shared that he paid a visit to Salman Khan’s house long before ‘SOTY’ shoot had started. At that time Sidharth had just signed his first film and was not known as an actor. A chance conversation that took place in Salman’s house, Sidharth didn’t reveal that he is part of ‘SOTY’. Sidharth’s friend, who accompanied him informed Salman that is doing Karan Johar’s film. Salman looked at Sidharth’s face and advised him to be a television actor. Sidharth shared saying, “Salman suggested that I do television instead.”
This comment puzzled Sidharth but he didn’t feel offended, rather, he took it on a positive note and said, “I was like wow...such a humongous actor and he feels I am important enough for something to comment on. It didn’t affect my confident per se.”
Later when Sidharth came on Bigg Boss to promote ‘Student of the Year’, host Salman Khan introduced him saying that, “Meet him...I said something earlier to encourage him and now he has finally become a hero. I was trying to push you Sidharth.”
As of now, Sidharth is busy with promotional activities for his upcoming film ‘Brothers’ and filming ‘Kapoor and Sons’.
