Sourav, Dia & Ayushmann at ‘Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalaya’ Summit!
Lending support to “Support My School” at a summit on ‘Swachh Bharat and Swachh Vidyalaya’, spotted were former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, multi-talented Ayushmann Khurrana and many others.
The focus of the Summit was upon identifying the key challenges for a ‘Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalaya’. It hosted business leaders and prominent personalities from diverse organizations including T. Krishnakumar, CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd.; Anu Aga, Director, Thermax; Varun Berry, Managing Director, Britannia Industries Ltd.; Avinash Vashishta, Chairman, Accenture India and Sourav Ganguly, Former India cricket team captain and Swachh Bharat Ambassador and Coca-Cola Happiness Ambassador.
In a heartwarming session with leaders and personalities, the students shared their hopes and aspirations for the future. The students, who represented nearly 200,000 children, who have benefitted from the campaign, spoke in detail on what can help unleash their potential.
Later Dia Mirza said, “I am extremely happy to be associated with a cause like Support my School. Having being associated with the initiative since the first season, I have had the chance to see the positive impact this initiative has made to the lives of students across the country. The very fact that a child is able to go to school is so special as it lays the foundation of a brighter India and when one has a proper infrastructure in school it definitely motivates a child to go to school and create wonderful memories.”
Ayushmann Khurrana chirped, “The channel knows its social responsibility and it is one of the few media houses who takes it seriously and implements it with good spirit. Proud to be associated with this cause.”
The evening concluded with a special performance by Ayushmann Khurrana who also dedicated a poem penned by him to the campaign.
