Aishwarya walks ramp; Jaya, Kriti, Aditi & others attend Manish Malhotra's show!
Manish Malhotra's couture line, 'The Empress Story', was the grand finale at the Amazon India Couture Week and it was a star studded affair as not only was Manish's show stopper was the stunning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but the audience at the event included many from the Bollywood glitterati! The event was held at The Leela Palace in New Delhi.
Speaking about the collection showcased, Manish said,
“2015 marks an important milestone as the ‘Manish Malhotra’ label celebrates 10 years and 25 years a costume director. ‘THE EMPRESS STORY’ is a special collection as it not only ends the beautiful decade that was, but also represents the beginning of a new phase for the brand. It captures the excitement and thrill of taking the next step, while taking pride in its foundations. With ‘THE EMPRESS STORY’, I return to my love for timeless aesthetics and structure along with fine craftsmanship that has taken months to translate onto fabric. All the elements in the collection do speak a common, universal language of elegance and élan. Much like the power of femininity, these will never go out of style.”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was the show stopper at the event, looked beautiful in a wine coloured flowing skirt paired with a top and embroidered jacket. She was spotted posing with Manish and other guests backstage and was also seen interacting with the media persons present at the event. Aishwarya's mother-in-law, veteran actor Jaya Bachchan was also present at the event and was seen interacting with other guests.
Other guests at the star studded affair included actors Aditi Rao Hyadri, Kriti Sanon and Sophie Choudry. The three girls were spotted having a gala time with Manish. Shabana Azmi, Pernia Qureshi, Imran Abbas, Sarod player Ayan Ali Bangash, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and many others were also among those who attended the event.
