After a poor opening on Day 1, Nishikant Kamat’s thriller film ‘Drishyam’ picks up on Day 2 with a total collection of Rs. 17.45 crore.

Word of mouth and good reviews have helped the film in the box office collection. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote: TERRIFIC word of mouth translates into SUPER growth in biz on Day 2. #Drishyam Thu pre + Fri 8.05 cr, Sat 9.40 cr. Total: Rs 17.45 cr.

The film collected only Rs 8.05 crore on the opening day, which is by far the lowest opening an Ajay Devgn film received in recent times.

‘Drishyam’ stars Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ajay Devgn in the lead. In the film, Tabu and Ajay are pitted against each other where Ajay’s character as Vijay Salgaonkar uses his brain to save his family from all harm and Tabu aka IG Meera Deshmukh tries to hunt down her son’s killer.
