Sonam has special role in brother Harshvardhan’s debut film Mirziya
Rumors had it that Sonam Kapoor went on a digital detox trip to Ladakh, but here’s the real truth about that trip. There was no detox involved. On the contrary, she was spotted in Hunter shooting for Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirziya.
It is the debut film of Sonam’s baby brother Harshvardhan Kapoor and Shabana Azmi’s niece Saiyami Kher. Rakesh wanted to keep Sonam’s special appearance a surprise and didn’t want to reveal anything about it. But the local people spotted her on the sets and the word went out soon.
Sonam and Mehra have worked together in films like Delhi 6 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. For BMB, Sonam had only charged Rs. 11 as shagun from Rakesh, and the director was touched by the gesture.
Mirziya is a tale based on tragic love story of Mirza and Sahiban. It is Mehra’s magnum opus and he is carefully planning every detail of the film personally.
