Dr. Abdul Kalam passes away, Bollywood reacts!

A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who won popular acclaim as India's president in 2002-07, passed away on Monday evening after collapsing during a lecture at the IIM-Shillong, officials said.

"Kalam is no more," Meghalaya Chief Secretary P.B.O. Warjri told IANS, shortly after the president passed away at the Bethany Hospital where he was taken to from the management school.

Doctors said Kalam suffered cardiac arrest. Upon hearing the sad news, Bollywood took to social to react to the sudden demise of Dr. Kalam.

Lataji’s full-tweet read, “Abhi abhi mujhe khabar mili ke hamare purva Rashtrapati, Bharat Ranta Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam ji ka dukhad Nidhan hua hai,ye sunke mujhe bahut dukh ho raha hai,Main unhe bahut qareeb se jaanti thi,wo bahut bade scientist the, nek insaan the aur bahut acche kavi bhi the. Main unko Shraddhanjali arpit karti hun,Ishwar unki aatma ko shaanti de.”

never had the opportunity to meet kalam saab but always loved and respected him .

as scientist and as President , Kalam saab was a true inspiration for many generations of Indians .

Kalam saab was an amazing teacher and in his last tweet he said he is on his way to iim .
