EXCLUSIVE: Sonam Kapoor’s party song in ‘Neerja’ will showcase a different side of hers
Sonam Kapoor is all set to play the titular role of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot in Ram Madhvani’s next. And we got to know that there is going to be a special party song that will take place before Neerja leaves for her first flight.
Choreographer Shampa says, “The song is going to be celebratory one but not an usual party song. Sonam is a fun-loving girl, but as Neerja a different fun-loving side of hers would be showcased and not how we usually see Sonam. The director made sure that the real fun-loving Sonam and reel-fun loving Sonam as Neerja would totally be different. Hence, we had to direct the song likewise.”
The song sequence builds up at Neerja’s place featuring Sonam as Neerja and will include her parents and a few party people. And the director made sure that they were not some random background people as Shampa shared, “35 people were actually auditioned and hand-picked to be a part of the song.”
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, the story and screenplay of Neerja has been written by Saiwyn Quadras while Sanyukta Chawla Shaikh has written the dialogues. Shabani Azmi too stars in the film in a very crucial role.
