Ajay reveals why he backed out of his production venture starring Kajol
Ajay Devgn was reportedly going to produce a film for Kajol after she wrapped up ‘Dilwale’ shoot. But as per latest news reports, Ajay Devgn backed out of his production venture and he takes the blame on himself.
Ajay was going ahead with a project by Ram Madhvani, but half way through the production, Ajay backed out. Admitting it to be his fault, Ajay told DNA, “What happened was my fault. Without hearing the complete and final draft, I went ahead and started the pre-production which cost me quite a lot. I did so, as the shooting was going to start just 10 days later. When I heard the final draft, I was not happy. I realised that this wasn’t going to work at all. We had a discussion and then I had to take a call whether to lose all that money we’d spent or go ahead with the film even though we are not happy with it. We decided not to take chances because we felt the film would not work in that form. So I stopped the film.”
Ajay is working on a different script right now and is waiting for Kajol to complete her ‘Dilwale’ shoot. He told the daily, “I am just waiting for her shooting for Dilwale to get over this month. Now we are not doing the film with Ram Madhvani or Ashwni Dhir.” He also mentioned that he would reveal the director’s name soon.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn would be seen playing the role of a common family man in Nishikant Kamat’s ‘Drishyam’.
