Box Office Report: 'Baahubali' Hindi version crosses 50 cr; 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' collects 27+ crore on opening day
Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ got a great opening as the film crossed his opening collection of ‘Kick’. The film collected Rs. 27.25 crore. His last release ‘Kick’ had collected Rs 26.40 crore on opening day last Eid.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BajrangiBhaijaan Fri Rs 27.25 cr [pre-Eid]. SUPERB... Today onwards [Eid], biz should only zoom upwards... #Kick Rs 26.40 cr [pre-Eid].”
While ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s opening got a great response, S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ is keeping the cash registers ringing. The film released in four languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and made an overall collection of Rs. 255 crore. The Hindi dubbed version crossed the 50 crore mark. Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Baahubali [dubbed Hindi version; Week 2] is SUPER-STRONG. Fri 3.25 cr. Total: Rs. 50.02 cr. Crosses Rs. 50 cr mark [Hindi version]. FAB!”
It will be interesting to see how both the films perform this weekend.
