Hearing adjourned till July 20th for Salman’s 2002 hit-and-run case
The hearing date for Salmna Khan’s 2002 hit-and-run case has been adjourned to July 20th. The hearing was supposed to be on July 13th, but Salman’s counsel Amit Desai, asked for an extension on grounds to check if all documents were in order.
On July 1st, Bombay High Court had deferred till July 13th, and given Salman’s lawyer time until then to get the documents in order. But Desai, plead for an extension as he wanted to verify if any documents in any vernacular language is to be translated in English. Plus he wanted to make sure nothing was missing in his documents.
After Salman was convicted in May, he was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. But then he was granted bail and the hearing was henceforth postponed until the summer break for court was over.
