Skin Care Tips: Keep your hands moisturised and soft with THESE hand masks
Our hands often tend to get dry and lose their natural moisture due to the constant hand washing but you can easily moisturise and get soft hands with some easy DIY hand masks.
Our face gets all the attention and care all the time. We try numerous home remedies and DIY beauty remedies for our face and keep our skin happy and our face glowing but there are a number of things that we completely ignore. The rest of our body also needs some care and pampering to stay healthy and flawless. We need to care for the skin on the rest of our body as well. The most ignored skin care routine is the one we have for our hands! We hardly do anything to care for our hands even though they face the harshest treatment of all things.
The constant use of sanitser and handwash can leave our hands feeling dry and rough. We also end up with loads of impurities and dry skin that we fail to remove from our hands. This is why it is essential to have a set routine for healthy skin and keep our hands feeling soft and moisturised. The best way to do it is to use some DIY hand masks for soft hands.
Here are some hand mask recipes that can keep your hands nourished:
1. Potato Mask

Potatoes are known to tighten the skin and prevent ageing and most people fail to care for the ageing skin on their hands and that's what gives them away. Boil 2 potatoes or one big potato and mash it. Make a smooth pulp and mix some milk in it to make a smooth paste. Apply this on your hands and let it stay for up to 20 minutes and then wash it with water.
2. Avocado Mask

Take the pulp of one whole avocado and mix it with half a spoon of honey and one spoon of yoghurt. Add some Multani mitti and some rose water to it. Make a smooth paste and apply it on your hands. Let it dry and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Multani mitti has numerous benefits and avocado is known to contain nutrients that nourish the skin and keep it healthy.
3. Carrot Mask

Grind a whole carrot and make a smooth paste. Add some sandalwood powder and freshly squeezed lemon juice to it. Mix it well and apply it on your hands. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before you rinse it off with lukewarm water. Carrot has carotene, vitamins and many other things that are good for the skin. It hydrates your skin as well.
4. Egg Mask

Take an egg and beat it well and add a spoonful of fresh lemon juice. Add a little olive oil to mix and beat it well to mix the ingredient. Apply a thick layer of this on your hands and let it dry for up to 30 minutes. Post that, rinse your hands with some warm water. An egg is known to nourish your skin and hydrate it and the olive oil provides some moisturizing as well.
