Home Remedies to get rid of those ugly Blackheads

Blackheads are an extremely common issue amongst women. Blackheads are small bumps which are formed in the opening of the hair because of dead skin cells or dirt. 

We usually notice the bumps looking dark and it is assumed that it is because of the dirt which is accumulated; however, the main reason is it being exposed to air. These bumps usually occur on the face but they can also occur on the chest, back, arms and neck. There are already a lot of medication available for the same, but listed below are a few extremely simple home remedies which are easily available in your kitchen.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is an extremely useful spice. It helps in curing acne, removing blackheads and glowing skin. Mix one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and honey to form a thick paste, apply it to the affected area before going to bed. Wash it with lukewarm water the next morning. 

Follow this remedy for two weeks and get the best results. You can also mix the cinnamon powder with lemon juice and a little turmeric (optional). Apply it all over your face and leave it for about 10-15 minutes and then wash it off.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a multipurpose product. This magical ingredient cures everything from getting rid of dark marks to polishing your teeth to relieving heartburn. Take two teaspoons of baking soda and add water to it. Make a paste out of it and apply it to the affected area. Massage it gently and keep it on for about 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process twice a week for best results.

Green tea

Apart from it being extremely good for the body, green tea is also great to get rid of blackheads. Mix one teaspoon of dry green tea leaves with a little water to make a paste and scrub it on the affected area. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process 3-4 times a week for best results.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a great natural cleanser, it removes dead skin cells and also soothes irritation. Boil some oatmeal, let it cool down and then apply it to the affected area. Leave it on for 20 mins and then wash it off with water. 

You can also take some boiled oatmeal and mix it with two tablespoons of yoghurt, lemon juice and olive oil. Apply this paste to your entire face for 10 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy once every day for a week for best results. 

Honey

Honey is great in giving you a clear complexion, helps in tightening and hydrating your pores and also acts as a natural antibiotic. You could simply apply some warm honey on the affected area, leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it away. Repeat the same for 10 days for best results.
