Skin Care: THESE dangerous skin care routines should be avoided right away

When it comes to skincare, we all have a specific skincare routine that we stick to. Each one of our skincare routines involves a series of steps that we carry out to the T.  Because of the stress and pollution in the environment, maintaining the health of our skin has become imperative now. We buy multiple products, expensive products and also fix a night routine to get the desired results. But what we don't realise is the fact that not all skin routines are good for the health of our skin.

If you are someone who is following a fixed set of skin routine, then these are the things that you should avoid right away. These things not only make our skin dry and dull but can also lead to acne breakouts and pimples. These are the mistakes that come between you and an even clearer, more beautiful skin. They further take away the moisture from our skin, which makes it lifeless.

Using facial wipes:

We tend to carry facial wipes with us almost everywhere. And we use facial wipes to remove makeup from our skin, which is very dangerous. Using facial wipes pulls and tugs our skin and hence should be used in emergencies only.

Using hot water to wash the face:

Washing your face with hot water might give you a soothing feeling, but in reality, it’s doing more harm to your skin. Hot water can cause blood vessels to burst, irritation, and also give rise to dry skin problems.

Using tonnes of night care products:

There's a trend of using multiple skin products at night. What if we don't know is that these products don't get absorbed into our skin. The products might cause a layer on your skin blocking the pores, and resulting in acne breakouts.

Not using a moisturiser after exfoliation:

Exfoliation is essential to maintain the health of your skin since it helps to remove all the dirt from our skin. And after exfoliation, always remember to apply a moisturiser. It will seal your skin and hydrate it and will make it more soft and supple.

Not reading product description:

Many times we tend to think, the costlier the product is the more guaranteed its result will be on our skin. That shouldn’t be the way of buying skincare products. Always make it a point to know what all are key ingredients of the product you are using. Find out if it’s suitable for your skin type or not.
